Decoration & Building
Tools and blocks for detailing your builds.
Overview
HellHold has a whole toolbox for builders and decorators — ways to get around your build, dress it up, and add fine detail you cannot manage in vanilla.
The Decoration Tools chapter covers each one:
- Sign Elevators — travel between floors with a click.
- Plant Pots — put almost any plant in a pot or head.
- Mini Blocks — shrunk-down decorative blocks.
- Banner Beds — re-pattern your bedsheets with a banner.
- Invisible Item Frames — display items with no visible frame.
- Armour Stand Editor — pose armour stands precisely (VIP and above).

Builder tools for getting around and detailing your builds.
Sign Elevators
Skip the staircases — sign elevators teleport you straight between floors.
Setting one up
- Place a sign and write one of these on the first line:
[Lift]— two-way (up and down)[Lift Up]— up only[Lift Down]— down only
- Place a second lift sign directly above or below the first, at the same X and Z (lined up vertically).
You can use standing, wall, or hanging signs.
Riding it
- Right-click a lift sign to go up.
- Sneak + right-click to go down.
When you place a lift sign it confirms with a message and shows a brief guide line so you can see it lined up.
The elevator will not teleport you if the destination is blocked or has no floor — clear the landing spot if a lift seems to do nothing.
Plant Pots
Vanilla only lets you pot a handful of small plants. With Gardener's Dream, you can place almost any plant into a container for custom greenery.
What you can use
Place plants into:
- Flower pots
- Decorated pots
- Player heads
How to do it
Hold the plant and place it into (or onto) the pot or head. Experiment — ferns, saplings, crops, flowers and more all work, opening up a lot of decorative options for gardens, windowsills and interiors.
No resource pack needed — it all uses the game's normal textures, so it just works.
Mini Blocks
Mini Blocks are shrunk-down decorative versions of hundreds of blocks — perfect for models, fine detailing, and tiny scenery.
Getting them
Mini blocks are craftable. Open your recipe book and search for the block you want in mini form to see how to make it.
Using them
Place mini blocks like any decoration. They are great for:
- Miniature models and dioramas
- Detailed clutter on shelves and tables
- Fine architectural trim
With hundreds of blocks available in mini form, the recipe book is the quickest way to find the one you want.
Banner Beds
Tired of plain bedsheets? Banner Beds let you overlay a banner design onto a bed, so your bed shows whatever pattern you have crafted.
How to do it
Great for matching your bed to a themed bedroom, a guild colour, or a build's palette.
Invisible Item Frames
Invisible item frames display an item with no visible frame — the item looks like it is floating on its own. Perfect for clean item displays, wall art, and labelling without the border.
Getting them
Invisible item frames are craftable — check your recipe book for the recipe.
Using them
Place the invisible frame like a normal item frame and add your item. The frame itself stays hidden, leaving just the item on show.
Use them for weapon racks, "floating" display pieces, or tidy storage-room labels.
Armour Stand Editor
Posing armour stands by hand is fiddly. The armour stand editor (EasyArmorStands) gives you an in-game tool to pose them precisely — rotate limbs, set the head angle, move and rotate the whole stand, and more.
Who can use it
- Armour-stand posing is available to VIP and above.
Using it
With access, look at an armour stand and use the editor's drag handles and menu to pose it exactly how you want — far easier than the vanilla trick of clicking with items.
Not a VIP yet? You can still place and use armour stands the vanilla way; the editor just makes precise posing much easier.
